Time: New Year's Day

Tomorrow it's 2019! Almost everyone is excited about it, including me. It is my favourite celebration, as I can spend time with some people I truly love. When I was a kid, I was a little bit afraid of that day. However, now I see the 31st of December as a day to recapture the best moments of the year (and be grateful, of course!) and to plan for the future.

Although I have had very bad moments, especially when it comes to family, I have had also amazing moments that made 2018 such an awesome year. I am so grateful for that and I really wish this new 2019 gets to be as striking as this old year. How can I make 2019 better than the previous one? Through action.

Yeah, it is true that we promise to do things that we may not accomplish, but we need to try a little bit in order to feel fulfilled and content. We need to get out of the comfort zone by starting to do things that benefit us. Perhaps reading more books, studying things you are really interested, doing 30 minutes of exercise every day... Whatever you think it can be helpful for you and your mental health.

Nevertheless, it is also true that some of the best things of each new year are those that you really want and happen unexpectedly. That is the best feeling ever! To achieve dreams without being totally conscious about it. Yet, it is also beautiful to accomplish things through effort; don't get me wrong, we all should work to achieve things, but there are certain special moments that happen unexpectedly and make you highly happy.

I hope for all of you this new year has those moments of happiness, achievement and love! (By love, it doesn't necessarily have to be romantic love, also love for yourself, friends, life...)

(If you want to keep reading, regarding this song above this text, isn't it romantic to have someone with you even if you are totally exhausted, drank or sick of cleaning all the mess your friends/family has left at home? I think that is such a beautiful thing).
